Tucked between Monroe County Memorial Chapel and the Paw Spa, across the street from Forsyth United Methodist Church, is the newly-remodeled building where Cannon Roofing is based at 70B West Main Street in Forsyth. The business is owned and operated by Charlie Cannon and has been in business since 2016, steadily building its reputation for quality work, reasonable prices and friendly, responsible service.

Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce sponsored a ribbon-cutting for Cannon Roofing at its new location on May 10, inviting the community to learn more about Cannon Roofing and see the attractive office space. Charlie cut the ribbon with his wife, Shana, and sales manager, Omar Alcantar, supporting him.

Cannon has a decade of experience in roofing and works throughout much of Georgia. He said that in the preceding week he completed one job in Vienna and another in Decatur. The majority of his work is residential roofing, but he also frequently does commercial roofing jobs, and a number of favorable reviews are available on his Facebook page from both residential and commercial customers.

Cannon said the many storms that have come through Georgia over the last few months have kept him busy with roofing repairs and replacements. He has a lot of experience working with insurance companies on roof damage claims.

Cannon has lived in Monroe County about four years and said he is proud to base his business in Forsyth. He does shingle, metal and flat roofs. He is happy to provide free inspections and estimates.

“I don’t want to be big; I want to be local and do it right,” said Cannon. “I want a good reputation.”
