Charges have been dropped against the former manager of a Forsyth loan company after he agreed to pay back more than $2,900 he had been accused of stealing.
Talmul Parker, 36, a former manager of the Forsyth branch of Security Finance, paid $2,981 in restitution. In turn district attorney Jonathan Adams dropped theft by taking charges against Parker from May 2019. Parker had been charged after his supervisor reported finding the thefts during an employee review.
Adams said the charges were dropped because Parker paid back the money and because of the backlog of cases due to the COVID shutdown.
