A convicted killer at the Burruss prison in Forsyth was charged with throwing boiling liquid at another inmate and causing second degree burns to his shoulder and neck.
Ahmad Rashad Gill, 40, was booked at the Monroe County Jail on Sept. 4 and charged with two counts of aggravated battery. Warrants say that Gill threw a boiling liquid at inmate Artause Brown, 37, who’s serving time for aggravated assault.
The incident happened on Aug. 5 around 7 p.m. and left Gill with second degree burns, said the warrants.
Gill is already serving a life sentence for murdering someone in DeKalb County in 2010.
