A Forsyth man was apprehended on Sept. 19, one day after he was named to the Macon Regional Crimestoppers’ latest Top 15 Most Wanted list.
Taveon Deonte Davis, 27, was arrested after allegedly headbutting a woman, causing her right eye area to swell and bruise.
According to the incident report, at about 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, a woman identified as Katiphany Brown, told Officer Jeremy Malone of the Forsyth Police Department that she was at her home on Cabaniss Road when Davis came over wanting to see their child. Brown said she let Davis inside, but they began arguing. She said Davis then headbutted her.
Brown said she then tried to leave, but Davis took her keys from her purse. She then fled with her child and purse while telling Davis she was going to call the police. When she later returned to her home, she discovered Davis had taken her 2006 Chevrolet Impala at which point she called the police.
One day later, on Sept. 19, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to tip information and arrested Davis at a Milledge Circle home. Davis was wanted for child support lockup order, violation of probation, battery, kidnapping, fleeing or attempting to elude, failure to stop at stop sign, failure to signal when turning or changing lanes, driving while license suspended, obstruction and theft by taking.
Davis was the lone Monroe County fugitive who made Crimestoppers’ latest Top 15 Most Wanted list.
