Eastman truck driver Tommy Cravey was OK after flipping over his log truck at the corner of Hwy. 74 and Hwy. 42 on Friday, Sept. 11. Cravey, who works for Clem Brothers Logging Inc., was transporting lumber eastbound on Hwy. 74 when a flat bed semitruck suddenly pulled out in front of him. He braked hard and served off-road to avoid a collision and wound up flipping his truck in the process. The truck’s lumber cargo spilled out across the shoulder, with wreckage and debris everywhere. Despite the ugly wreck, Cravey wasn’t injured. A witness claimed to have the tag number of the truck that caused the crash but dispatchers could not find it in the computer system.
