A Macon man was hospitalized on Monday after running into the back of another vehicle on Hwy. 87 on Monday. Anthony Robinson of Monticello told the Reporter he was heading home to Jasper County after having two teeth extracted in Macon when he slowed down and turned his left blinker on near Plant Scherer on Monday morning. Robinson said he saw a truck for sale and wanted to go back and get the phone number. But as soon as he began to turn he was struck from behind by a Hyundia Accent driven by a Macon man. The Macon man showed blood on his hands and was grimacing in pain. Monroe County EMS took him by ambulance to a local hospital.
