A Forsyth man was hospitalized on Dec. 22 after the car he was riding in hydroplaned off of Hwy. 74 and crashed into an electric church sign. Jontavis Durham, 25, of Forsyth was taken by Monroe County EMS to Navicent Heath in Macon after being injured in the wreck. Durham was the passenger in a 2018 Toyota Corolla when the west-bound driver, Tara Robinson, 48, of Lower Simmons Road, lost control on the rain-slickened road and careened into the sign in front of Little Rogers C.M.E. Church around 7:33 p.m., according to Monroe County deputy Larry Sullivan’s report.
