The Monroe County Rec Board voted unanimously on Tuesday to reopen the park but with strict rules including temperature checks, no baseball scrimmages, no dugouts, no shared water coolers and regular cleanings.

Playground, field rentals, pavilion rentals resumed on Monday, May 25. Sports tournaments can resume on June 13. Free Play basketball/pickleball will begin June 14 and summer camps will begin on June 15, but camps can have no more than 15 kids.

The rest of the guidelines will be posted to the Rec Department’s website and Facebook page, according to an email from county rec director Landon Sparks.
