Well shootfire, we had nary a drop of rain in a scorching hot May, and then here comes June with four straight days of rain. And tonight we’re supposed to get down around 55 degrees. Seems like Mother Nature is off her meds. Speaking of things we can’t control, the state of Georgia has ORDERED the city to close the railroad crossing on Indian Springs Drive next to Bryant’s Collision. That despite the city saying loud and clear we want that crossing open. They say you can’t fight City Hall, but City Hall can’t fight the state of Georgia and Norfolk Southern railroad. So next time the train is blocking Lee Street because the engineer is getting Taco Bell, just remember why you can’t take a shortcut to get around it!
