A Forsyth man was killed when he sat down on Hwy. 42 and was struck by a motorist early Monday morning.
Tondi Norsworthy, 32, of Forsyth had sat down on Hwy. 42 not far from the Little Tobesofkee Creek bridge around 6:45 a.m. A vehicle approached and tried to avoid him but was unable. The driver called 911 to report he thought he hit someone but wasn’t sure. Deputies finally found Norsworthy’s body in the woods.
Norsworthy may have lived in a nearby trailer park, said sheriff Brad Freeman. Freeman said he thinks Norsworthy had also sat on the road one time when he lived in High Falls. He had been in some trouble before. Back in November 2019 he was charged with trying to strangle his girlfriend at her Brownlee Road home on fears she was cheating on him.
