To the Editor:
Your friend and my nephew, Dr. Rod Callahan, recently gifted me with a copy of your book, “On the Porch.” It makes me feel like I know you, even though we’ve never met.
“On the Porch” is totally delightful reading. The various stories of events in your and other people’s lives are interesting, down to earth, insightful, entertaining and informative.
Rod and I both attended the University of Georgia in the late sixties. I passed by the journalism building hundreds of times on my way to classes on the south campus. I also worked in the office of Campus Planning on North Campus from 1974 to 1980.
Thanks so much for sharing your writings with the public. In today’s world we so much need your positive message.
Best wishes for continued success in all of your future endeavors.
