To the Editor:

In reference to the recent U.S. Senate run-off election, it is apparent that Republican Doug Collins single handedly lost the U.S. Senate to the Democrats. He ran against the incumbent Senator which created two candidates on the Republican ticket running against one Democrat. Most any political expert knows that this historically splits the vote. Politics is about winning, I am amazed that the Republican Party allowed him to run. Shame on them. After losing, Mr. Collins failed to campaign and support Kelly Loeffler. If he had not run in the general election, it appeared that Senator Loeffler would have had enough votes to save the U.S. Senate.
