Gary Clark

DAVENPORT — Gary Clark, 61, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center-West Central Park, Davenport.

Gary was born Sept. 30, 1952, in Meridian, Miss., to Ernest George Clark and Annie L. (Dillard) Clark. Gary worked at John Deere Davenport Works, retiring in 1982. He then went into ministry, becoming an elder with Third Missionary Baptist Church and later at Temple Baptist Church. Most recently, he founded For Christ Sakes Ministry in the Quad-Cities. Gary was reunited in marriage to Rená Fitzpatrick on Jan. 20, 2014, in Davenport.

Survivors include wife, Rená Clark, Davenport; children, Atticus Clark, Davenport; Baraka Woods, Indianapolis; Megan (Jennifer) Vazquez; Mundelein, Ill.; Blair (Ana) Clark, Murrieta, Calif.; Korie (Marshall) Frazier, Waterloo, Iowa; Joseph (Kimi) Williams, Rock Island; Charay Ricks, Davenport, and Aaron Clark, Murrieta, Calif.; siblings, Alma Jean Bragg, Davenport, Ernestine Threatt, Phoenix, Vicki Williams, Des Moines, and Reginald Page, Davenport; step-father, Bill Page, Davenport; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, Ernest George Clark; mother, Annie L. Page; brothers, George and Larry Clark, and three grand-“angels.”

A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Third Missionary Baptist Church, 222 W. 14th St., Davenport.
